Sound Storm has always been on the front end of technological advances as they pertain to mobile entertainment. One thing we have discovered is that mobile doesn't always mean "car". Demand for audio entertainment in UTVs, ATVs, and motorcycles has grown exponentially over the past couple of years. Sound Storm Laboratories recognizes the importance of entertainment and have challenged our engineers to develop a high quality, yet affordable amplifier/speaker kit to satisfy the needs of the outdoor enthusiast. This challenge delivered the UTV2. The UTV two features a two channel amplifier boasting 100 watts of peak power (50x2) with a 3.5mm input compatible with the audio output of the iPod and other MP3 players and a rotary volume control with sound cut-off. The pair of waterproof marine grade 2" speakers have a frequency response of 35Hz to 15kHz and can handle a maximum load of 100 watts of power. The kit also comes with handlebar mounting hardware and a male-to-male 3.5mm audio cable. Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism
I recommend this amplifier to anyone who owns a motorcycle for several reasons.
1. Its has a small form factor aproximatly 6 cm x 9 cm x 2 cm.
2. The speaker quality its very good and looks and feels solid
3. Installation its easy, however if you have small form factor handle bar, some special fitting may be required.
4. Great sound and the quality does not decrease when the bike its idle, (I made a direct installation to the bike battery, also, I put a 3 amp fuse and a On/Off switch)
Some recommendations
This amplifier its a class D amplifier, its great if you want to plug your MP3 player and go on the road and listen to the music, however at very high speeds and if you have a noisy bike, you will need to increase the volume, when the volume gets increase to the maximum, as in every amplifier, the output gets noisy and with distorsion, but thats normal for every amplifier. I use a 50% volume setting and it work fine, at high speeds, I just turn off the amplifier (I need to concentrate on the road, not in the music)
Cons:
This amplifier comes will all the attachments for the speakers, however, it doesnt come with a braket to place the amplifier on the bike, I had to manufacture one with an aluminum plate and make the installation myself.
Also tha ackward part is that the input of the amplifier like volume and Sound input are a little to big for my taste, thats why I had to make the installation of this features on the lower section of mi bike seat, and that works fine, its protected from rain and nobody will know I have a radio on the bike, with the exception of the two speakers on the handle bar.

I recommend this amplifier to anyone, but don't get confused, even when the company it's from United States of America, the amplifier and the speakers are made in China, so beware.
