In 1874, BIKE Athletic Company began operations as the BIKE Web Company and originated the athletic supporter. Designed to provide support for the bicycle jockeys riding the cobblestone streets of Boston, the athletic supporter quickly became known as the "BIKE jockey strap." Eventually the name was shortened to simply the "jock strap" and, BIKE has now sold well over 300 million of them. BIKE's history, and its present success, has been built on their dedication to the world of athletes through product innovation. Since creating that first jock strap in 1874, BIKE has been the product innovator behind several other key athletic products. BIKE created the AIR POWER football helmet that became the standard by which all other manufacturers designed helmets to be both lightweight and comfortable, but extremely protective. BIKE created the coaches short, now worn on sideline all throughout the world. BIKE was also the first company to introduce compression shorts using uniform compression of specific muscle groups to aid in circulation, reducing fatigue and enhancing performance.

I like these jocks & have bought 4 so far,they are comfortable for working out except that on 1/2 of the ones I bought the elastic is fraying!! I would like to buy more as I go to the gym 6 days a week but dont wanna spend the money if they are gonna fall apart!
