We have an ant issue in our area for a few months during the hot desert summer. These are your basic little home invasion type of ants that love our cat foods. We have tried everything from spray to granular and thought this might be worth a shot based on words like "9 month control". It does "kill instantly" but as soon as the spray dries the ants crawl right over it and back to the food, if you want to sit there all day spraying the ants to death this is the one for you but if you want to do something and feel you'll have a few hours of piece then save your money. We have tried other Hot Shot items like the fogger and that's also a waste of time and money. We have a very low crawl space under our house so when I suit up and crawl on my back through it spraying, dropping traps or sprinkling the granular I want it to work and nothing has to date. We'll keep trying but I would say that pretty much the entire Hot Shot line has been a major disappointment to me.
