If applying in pantry area, it is recommended to remove items from pantry to allow best access.
If applying outside as a barrier treatment, remove debris and leaf litter from around the foundation, cut back vegetation and branches that touch the foundation and remove or rake back deep mulch, rocks or other potential pest harborage sites next to the foundation.

First off, I want to thank the company for making such a wonderful organic product. Many users on Amazon have been complaining about the scent and saying how horrendous and terrible the smell is and personally, I feel as if some are paid to wrongfully bash this product. The truth is that the scent is strong and smells like a mild pine-sol® and peppermint. I have two Cockatiel's with sensitive respiratory systems that did not mind the smell one bit (No loud chirps or weird behavior). My Girlfriend hates mint and stated that the smell was refreshing and it cleared up her sinuses. I used the product in a closet with no ventilation and wasn't bothered. I've also used Raid® and Hot Shot® in the past and those product's aren't exactly "Scent Free" either. I bought this product for a small silverfish and spider problem we have in our Apt and it has exceeded my expectations. Just spray it on a baseboard heater, balcony doorway or around a window and watch the bugs run the other way. I've sprayed it in a baseboard heater and in 2-3 mins, I saw those ugly things pop up from under. One small squirt on those buggers and it's instantly dead. Some of the bigger spiders were able to jump around for 10 - 15 seconds but eventually came to a screeching halt and stopped moving. I've been able to remove a total of 10 silverfish that I would of not been able to remove without this product. I've used more than half of the product in an 900 st ft apartment and have no complaints about the smell. If you are sensitive to strong scents, you may want to keep the windows open. I currently do not have any windows or doors open and have no plans on doing so. In the end, you can go with the competition which contain carcinogens, isn't safe around pets or kids and doesn't quite kill bugs easily, or you can use this product and have peace of mind in knowing that it is a natural product that does not contain carcinogens and that you may have to put up with a "strong scent" that last for hours. The choice is yours...
