I highly recommend the Wilson NCAA replica basketball for everyone. I've used it both on outdoor courts(primarily) and indoor courts, and it works well for both. It's easy to grip, has a soft bounce, and absorbs moisture well.
The durability of the basketball has been good so far. I've had it for 5 months, and have used it once a week primarily outdoors, and all the stitching has held up. The air in the ball has held up well too, as I haven't had to pump up the ball once. There is, however, some minor markings on the outside of the ball, but they don't affect anything except the look of the ball.
