I needed a small somewhat compact hydration back for those short non-epic rides. This was perfect except for the mouth/bite piece. Don't care for it. Fortunately I was able to replace it with one of my spare Camel ones. :-)The bladder size is more than sufficient but the opening for the bladder is kinda small but it's not bad.The storage is more than adequate for my needs. It does hold my wallet, phone, keys, a small multi-tool, snacks just fine. Not sure about the need for the external elastic shock cord storage system. I suppose it could be useful to hold/store a spare jersey or a light jacket. I heard others not being happy with this pack because of the lack of storage. That's true because it's not meant to have a ton of storage. It's primarily meant to be a hydration pack in a sleek form. If you want/need storage, look for something bigger.
