This camelbak fits VERY well for distance runners. I had a Camelbak MULE from my time in the Marine Corps several years ago and found it to be too big and bulky for my longer distance training runs for 1/2 marathons. I bought the Camelbak Fairfax strictly for this use and have been VERY impressed with it. I tend to drink the smaller 50oz bladder dry after about 14-15 miles, but that can't really be helped without making the pack bigger and bulkier, thus defeating the purpose of this design. Most of my runner friends prefer hydration belts for training runs, but I don't like having things hanging off my waist. I don't experience any unusual shoulder fatigue or discomfort from wearing the camelbak (i'm 6'0" 190lbs). This is a very well designed pack and I would recommend it for any athelete who doesn't like hydration belts and doesn't need over a 50oz capacity.
