Been playing horseshoes for over 30 years and this is the first excellent product I've found that easily is built for travel (vacations) or for the occassional player. The shoes themselves are some of the best I've come across. The only thing I find less than perfect (BUT! it's the tradeoff for a traveling set) is the stakes are a little small in diameter (1/2" ?). The fact that the stakes are split in half and screw together makes for traveling ease, but the sturdiness would be much better if they were 5/8" or 3/4" in diameter. Also would structure carrying case where two halves of stakes go on top for carrying handle and two on bottom. It's a little difficult to grasp all four halves together for a long walk to the beach... In any case, very, very good set.
