This backcountry baby carrier features a true expedition backpacking suspension system for unmatched comfort and control. The Rumba is the only baby carrier in the world featuring the fully adjustable "Backtrack On-The-Fly" suspension system that fits any size torso and micro-adjusts while you are wearing it. There is no more need to disturb your child by having to set the pack down in order to readjust the harness. The Rumba also features an exclusive five point chest plate that prevents slouching and holds your child upright comfortably and securely with padded foam and five security straps. This baby carrier includes a sunshade and rain cover (same color as the pack), pop-off day pack which doubles as a diaper bag or a toddler school pack, and foot stirrups to increase your child’s circulation and comfort. The Rumba is designed to comfortably fit both men and women with torso sizes ranging from 16"-22”.
Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism This is an awesome pack! The one I have is a couple of years old now, but I'm still using it. I had an older Kelty that I had picked up from a swap meet. It wasn't very comfortable for me or my daughter. I found this one online and liked the fact it was for older kids (she was 2 at the time). I'm still carrying her in it (when she'll let me) and she's 3 1/2. It's rated up to 65 lbs I think, she's at about 40 now and it's still doable, though I find 3-4 miles is my limit these days. I let her walk until she's tired then I put her in the pack so we can finish our hikes. She never liked the foot holders, but I think if you start a child when they're younger they might. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating, is because there's a metal strip that occasionally digs into my hip on the right side. Then again ... I'm carrying a lot of weight so when the kids are young I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue. Besides comfort for myself and my daughter, I also was looking for a pack that had some storage for food and extra clothing. This one has great storage - both under her as well as the little detachable backpack. Last, but not least, I love the fact that it has zippered pockets in the waist belt. I can put my keys and cell phone in there and get to them without taking the pack off. I highly recommend this pack!
