I have purchased two(2) of these and could not be happier. If you are like me and need lightning quick access to your handgun but want in safely stored away from the kids then this is the safe for you. I use my safe daily and have no complaints. When you enter the code, the spring loaded safe door pops down in a fraction of a second. There is a courtesy light inside, which illuminates for about 5 seconds allowing you time to see inside. It is easy to program and although a little tricky to do, the directions for installing the batteries is very thorough. Oh, and in the event of battery failure, there are two(2) barrel keys provided. You will not be disappointed with this safe.
