A word to the wise, I purchased this vault at Lowes for a much lower price then advertised here. I will say I am very pleased with this purchase. With the recent increase in criminal activity due to the economy, and my long awaited desire to buy a vault to store my valuables, I decided that the longer I wait the greater the risk would be to loosing some irreplaceable property. So after some research I found this vault to be of suitable quality and comparable size to meet my needs. The vault itself is pleasing to the eye and contains an upholstered interior with adjustable shelves and that can hold quite a bit of merchandise.
Make sure you also purchase four 1/2" x 6" sleeve anchors to bolt this vault to your floor. You'll also need a hammer drill and a concrete drill bit. When you drill make absolutely sure you drill deeper then the sleeve anchor can go otherwise your bolt will not go all the way down and the top will stick out above the bottom of the vault and not properly anchor your vault to the floor, allowing anyone to simply rock the vault loose. Once you drive those sleeve anchors in they are never coming out no matter what. Your only solution is to cut the top of the sleeve anchor off with a pair of bolt cutters and move the vault over at least 3 inches away from the previously drilled anchors and start again. If you don't bolt the vault down a criminal determined enough can get some help and carry it out of your home and with enough time any vault can be cracked.
