I am impressed with these ear buds. The ear brakes stop what I consider to be harmful noises but allow me to leave them in place and use my phone. I can talk with employee's on the shop floor and the machinery in the back ground is muted yet back up alarms and crane alarms are still audible. If I need to concentrate I plug in the small insert that are attached and it completely blocks out all sound. You can adjust how much sound you wish to allow in by simply pulling inward or outward on the ear bud itseld. I initially wanted to purchase the medium as from what I read mediums fit the majority of people. Being unable to find mediums I bought the large sized and they fit perfectly. I would purchase this item again.
