I have owned a number of different electronic earmuffs over the years ranging from very bad (ProEars200)(see my review) to very good (Walker Game Ears), with some good products in-between (Peltor,Howard Leigh). I rate this Caldwell model as good as or better than the Walker Quads. The G3's are comfortable to wear all day long, they enhance all sounds and they effectively dampen the noise of gunshots. I like the design of these muffs because they can fold for storage and the thin wire frames holding the ear pieces do not come in contact with the gun stock as can happen with the Walker. The on/off switch does not protrude and normally does not come on when folding the muffs as some of the other designs do. I still check the LEDs (a very good idea) to insure they are off before putting them away. I have not experienced any of the issues some of the other reviewers have had. I have no problems inserting batteries or closing the battery compartment doors. It is an excellent product at a very reasonable price.
