We were having a problem with them running off and not listening to commands outside. The first day I used the collar it was like a miracle worker. Just using the vibration (not shocking) was enough to get their attention. I suddenly had two very well behaved dogs. The best part was that they could be outside with me as I did yard work and not have to be tied up. I have had to use the shock once or twice at a low setting but overall, they respond to commands right away. Everything holds a charge for a long time and my dogs have also proved that its waterproof claims are true. This is a great purchase!
