I have a pair of Pearl Izumi X-Alp shoes and these covers do not fit. I wear a size 9.5/43 and bought a size large in these shoe covers. They barely close in the back and not at all by the heel. I would definitely recommend you go to your local store to do a fitting if you have a beefy MTB shoe. The other feature that I don't like is the velcro closure. I have owned a pair of Endura covers with a zipper and I much prefer them.
