This is an aerodynamic cover for their corresponding Pearl iZUMi shoes. I was uncertain as to what weather conditions they would be good for but it appears that they work well in fall weather (40-60's F, without accounting for wind chill). I had previously bicycled in similar weather only to have my toes get mildly frost bitten, but with these, my toes were perfectly comfortable. It certainly does the job, and they also seem to work well in mild-moderately wet weather (although they are not listed as 'water proof.') I do not think you will be disappointed for the price, but if you are bicycling in truly cold weather (<30's F), these are likely not what you will want. Also, you must have cycling shoes (as I saw someone posted on another product), as they will not fit over running/cross training shoes. Finally, if you have been pondering getting real bicycle shoes...I was crazy for waiting this long!
