We have had this set for six months now. My son got it for his third birthday and it was easy for him to get the hang of. The balls are springy and bouncy and a great size for little feet to kick. The numbers on top of the hoops are great for young children just learning to count. Although we haven't had to use it yet, it was a wonderful idea to include a small air pump. The little prongs that go into the ground and keep the hoops in place are just big enough to do the job. You'll have difficulty getting them in hard or dry dirt. And if you kick the hoop instead of the ball, it's probably going to fall over. That said, this is meant to be a portable toy that you can re-arrange in your yard, and the design is great for that. I was a little disappointed with how quickly the hoops began to discolor in the sun. This is a minor detail, but I thought an outdoor toy would be made to withstand a little more sun without getting bleached out. Overall we have enjoyed this as a great family toy.
