Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism
I am presently using the Chess Wizzard Express, which I began using several years ago, when it was named Bookup. It is an extremely good program, for analyzing games, storing games, studying games and openings, past games databases which are in PGNs. However, it is not a lazy man's program, for it takes lots of time to get informatin into it such as entering opening or games for future study, one has to type in or use Microsoft Word, cut and paste the information into the program. An under 1400 rated player will have all needs met with the 'Standard program". Beyond 1400 the "Professional Program" is wonderfull, in that the annotations can be voiced in, instead of typing or cut and paste from Microsoft Word. I tried Shredder, Fritz, Aquarium and found that there are marked similiarities among all of them, and contains lots more features and databases that ChessWizzardExpress does not have, and found that ChessWizzardExpress which do not contain any games database, but one can load PGNs games databases into it, is easier to manipulate, store and retrieve one's games and stdying.
