The line of Clover pom-pom making tools is great. I was never good at making them the old school way by wrapping around cardboard...they wouldn't be tight enough, I couldn't trim it round...these tools make it SO EASY to make perfectly round compact pom-poms that require minimal trimming to get the perfect result.
I would say if you enjoy making pom-poms, this is a great item to invest in. It is fun, simple and well made. I have also tried the Susan Bates pom-pom makers, and those a quite lacking by comparison. If you are deciding between the two, I would recommend buying the Clover ones even though they cost a bit more.
