I had hoped to use this for a handmade boat that is similar in shape to a canoe, that I wanted to put on my roofrack. This didn't work out very well. The foam blocks were the wrong height and the front and back straps didn't really work for the length I needed. The components of the kit were fine and as advertised, but not useful for my purposes.
