The Halex Select bocce set makes a great companion whether you're camping, barbecuing at a friend's house, or picnicking with family. The set comes with four red and four green 100mm composite-molded balls, along with a 40mm jack (pallino) target ball and a deluxe carrying bag. To play, simply toss the pallino any distance or direction, then take turns trying to toss, roll, or throw the bocce balls as close as possible to the target. One of the oldest forms of lawn bowling, bocce can be played almost anywhere on a variety of surfaces, and is suitable for all ages. I played bocce for the first time with some friends at a Bocce Federation court, and fell in love with the game! I decided to order a set so that I can play locally, and decided on this one. The bocce balls are a little lighter than the ones I first played with, but they are good for kids (I played with my 6 year-old nephew, and 13 year-old niece). The bag is a little flimsy. I would prefer something with more cushion and structure. Otherwise, it's a really great set!
