Hone your jump shot in your spare moments or perform a backyard dunking drill with the Lifetime Courtside 1525 portable basketball system. Unlike in-ground basketball hoops--which are typically anchored in concrete--the Courtside portable hoop rolls on wheels, letting you position the basket support in any desired location, from the back patio to the middle of the cul-de-sac. All you have to do is fill the 31-gallon polyethylene base with water or sand and play.
The Courtside comes with a clear 50-inch shatterproof Fusion backboard with a blow-molded, high-density polyethylene frame that's virtually indestructible. The Courtside's one-hand Speed Shift height adjustor, meanwhile, lets you bring the game to your own level. The Speed Shift mechanism includes an easy-to-adjust handle that's 75 inches off the ground at its highest point. To change the hoop's height--it adjusts from 8 to 10 feet--simply maneuver the handle until you've reached the ideal position. And Lifetime knows that dunking and above-the-rim play are a huge part of modern basketball, which is why the Courtside includes an 18-inch Slam-It Rim. The solid-steel rim features double compression springs that give way during dunks to protect the player, then spring back once released.
Finally, the Courtside 50-inch basketball system is built to last, with a powder-coated 3-inch steel pole that's resistant to rusting, chipping, and peeling. The Courtside carries a five-year warranty that covers everything on the system.

I recently assembled this unit. Found it more difficult to assemble than past portable hoops I've had and was very labor intensive. Many pieces that could have been put together by the manufacturer to save time were not put together. The base has already sprung a leak and when I called Lifetime they said they do not replace a base in that situation because they believe it comes from moving the system around while not using the wheel base??? I mean come on, if you can't count on the system to be strong enough to move around how poorly is this thing made?
