This is a great way to display a special item! This model is not terribly secure and comes apart easily (the 2 U-shaped pieces just nest), so it would best be used somewhere it won't get bumped. If you want something to display a ball in a high-traffic area I'd go with the sort that has a base or one that is meant to hang on the wall.
