It was a little more expensive than just buying the items separately but I thought the homerun wall might be fun when he gets older. We haven't tried the wall yet, so I can't say anything about it. However, I felt the need to write this review because the bases are kind of lousy. They're made of a vinyl backed canvas and don't really have any weight to them. Because my son is so young, they'll be fine for us for a little while but if you have older kids you'd be better off getting a set of bases on their own. The bat was also very thin plastic - so again, for little kids it's ok. I'd say that if you're buying for a child older than 5, don't bother with this set. In my opinion it is an odd package because the homerun wall is really geared for older kids but the rest of the items are not up to snuff for anyone but the youngest baseball fans.
