This current item is a good deal. You get the Jugs Instant Screen, plus a Jugs Tee, plus 2 dozen dimpled yellow practice balls. As of now (April, 2011) that's a value of ~$190 if bought separately.
This is actually my 2nd Jugs Instant Screen; I use one indoors & one outdoors. I can always use an extra tee & more balls, so when I saw this deal, it worked for me.
The Instant Screen itself is fantastic. It's billed as portable; while I don't use it that way, I believe a motivated person could (although I think it would take some practice to learn to fold it up).
There are many things I like about this net. It's 'plug-n-play', meaning that it comes ready for use out of the box; pull it out & presto, it expands to be used (kind of explosively, so stand back). For use outdoors, it does need to be anchored, since a strong wind will move it. Although it does not come with robust anchoring straps, it's pretty easy to drive some large stakes in a few strategic places to keep it in place. I also keep a cinder block on the back of it for the same reason. (The 4 screw-in type stakes that come with it weren't enough for the windy area we live in).
The net is a little too small for my taste (it's about 6' high x about 6' wide at its widest), but it is big enough to serve its primary purpose as a backstop for hitting practice. I should add that the netting alone can catch real baseballs thrown from a pitching machine at moderate speed without tearing.
I also use it for my boys' catchers' practice, where it's a little more cramped for them to squat in, but still effective.
I can also attest to its durability; our first net is entering its 3rd year of continual outdoor use (we do bring it in during winter). Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Jugs' larger, more expensive net (which I've also reviewed).
There is nothing else like this net available for purchase online that I am aware of; for its relatively low price, you can't go wrong.
