Liven up your tailgate parties and camping trips with this Blongo Washers game set. Designed for two players or teams, Blongo Washers combines elements from horseshoes, beanbag toss, and ring toss, all in a portable design that fits easily in the trunk of a car or a corner of the garage. To play, simply set up the playing boards several feet apart on the ground, and then toss the powder-coated washers towards the holes in the boards. After each round, players use the built-in measuring string to determine how close the washers landed to the holes (each hole is worth a different value). The game ends when one player reaches 21 points. When you're finished playing, the boards latch together and turn into a large briefcase (with a handle) for easy carrying. Each Blongo Washer set comes with two wooden playing boards and six powder-coated washers.
About BlongoBall Mike Long and his wife, Roberta, were early retirees who spent much of their time fishing, hunting, rafting, boating, and RVing. When Mike was introduced to the rudimentary concept of BlongoBall, he decided that the game merited serious development and investigation. Mike built the prototype game and used all of his friends as test subjects. BlongoBall was tested on the beaches of Lake Powell, on raft trips on the Salmon River, on the beaches of San Diego, and in parks and campgrounds form the southwest to the northwest. In every location, passersby would stop and interrupt the games to find out where they could buy BlongoBall. The enthusiastic response encouraged Mike to continue to refine the rules and goal configurations.
After months of design, research and testing, Mike applied for and received a patent for BlongoBall, which has been enthusiastically received by kids and adults of all ages since its release. Founded in 2004, BlongoBall is located in Spokane, Washington.

Well, I set up the game yesterday. When I first read that a reviewer was disappointed because it was too heavy, I thought that would be a plus. But I think the construction is too flimsy. If you are playing it on a hard surface, the washer bounces high off the "green" surface as there is no padding underneath.
Improvements I would make:
1. Put padding underneath the green carpet to give it less "action" (we don't want it to work like a ping pong table top).
2. Put cups underneath the holes so the washers don't go everywhere once they've passed through the hole.
3. Put a lip around the surface so the washers aren't so likely to go off rolling 20 feet away.
4. Put latches in for the "stands" as the game will move around a little and the stand tends to collapse.
On the plus side, the washers themselves are very heavy duty with a good feel.
