This product was such a good price that I wasn't expecting too much out of it, but it is very sturdy and well-made. My daughter is using it for 5th grade - it's the perfect size and stands up to the 30 lbs of textbooks that she sometimes has to haul around. Also has a deep mesh pocket for her water bottle, so it never falls out like it used to with her other backpacks. (4/2010)
UPDATE 5/2011 - Just want to say that my daughter is almost done with 6th grade now and is still using this backpack. We have no broken zippers and no holes. The straps are still securely fastened to the bag. My daughter is merciless on her belongings, so for this backpack to last as long as it has and still be in great shape - it must be well made.
