In regards to the actual product, the dress sizes are completely off! They were probably set years ago. With recent dress sizes getting larger and larger (what used to be a size 2 is now a size 0), I would order a size down to ensure best fit. I purchased the SMALL size after consulting with the company and it was too large and bulky. I bought this primarily for posture support, but this item is more of a lower back support item and does not pull the upper back into proper alignment. There are other back braces that incorporate thin sheets of metal(?) from neck to mid-shoulder area which may help. I haven't looked into it though. It is made of good construction, but it did nothing for my back. I really liked the idea of the racerback design. Since I did not actually wear it (too large) I can only surmise its comfort. It did not chafe under my arms, and seemed to stay on snug. Although the description says it can be worn under clothing, it was a little scratchy and bulky so I wouldn't recommend it, unless you plan on wearing loose fitting clothes.
