Is all paracord manufactured to the same standard? I think not. I have been purchasing 100' of paracord from Rothco and Army Universe. The Rothco cord feels heavier, seems stronger, and better constructed. The Army Universe is lighter and seems more like lighter duty cord. I thought this couldn't be because it's all 550lbs, 100% Nylon, 7 Strand, "certified government contractor." I weighed the two sealed packages of 100' and the Rothco weighed approximately 8.6oz, the Army Universe weighed approximately 7oz. That is a significant enough difference for me to not trust the abilities of this cord. I am very disappointed Army Universe.
