I have owned many different types of scent additive over the years and I could never really tell if they were helping or not. This stuff works and you don't need to re-apply it after a couple of casts. I actually came across this product watching bass fishing tips on Youtube. The angler said he was using crawfish scent and that it was made from crushed crawfish. It wasn't an ad for Smelly Jelly, he just tossed in a plug for this product because he liked it. The first thing you notice is how strong it smells. I used a small amount on the tip of my finger to coat the bait and line above it. I couldn't even get the smell off my hands afterward, it has the consistency of grease which keeps it on the bait for 20 to 30 casts maybe more. The second thing I noticed was the bass that I was catching. I had a finesse worm on the line and if I didn't set the hook immediately they would actually swallow the whole worm making it very difficult to get the hook out. I have two more containers on the way, I also want to try some of the other scents.
