Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism This game is so much fun for people of all ages. It's not hard to put together, and it works really well. It takes 2 D batteries for the pin reset function, and some other batteries (I think AA) at the control pad at the end of the alley. The control pad turns the game on and off and is where you tell the game if you miss the pins and to move to the next frame. It has 6 pins that are attached to the top. The pins reset when you're finished with a frame, and this function has never jammed on me. If it ever does mess up, you have a reset pins button on the control pad to fix that. When you hit a strike, it yells, "Strike!" and with a spare, "You got the spare! Great roll!" It makes a sound each time you hit any pins. The game automatically keeps score for you. I think there are only about six frames, so the game isn't very long. I've only found two problems with this. First, it truly is 7 feet long. Sometimes it's hard to find that much space, and the space needs to be flat for the ball return to work. I have mine on a table, and I need to elevate the legs near the return a little to get the balls to roll all the way to the end of the alley. Second, the space needs to be permanent, because this would be a pain to assemble every time you want to play it. It's hard to move assembled (I tried and broke a small tab off near the ball return. I glued it and it still works).
