I do not write reviews very often, but really would like to share my experience with this product. Since I had started to have ankle injuries just over a year ago, I studied reviews, asked friends for advice and tried several kinds of ankle braces. This Mueller soccer ankle brace is by far the best one I tried. I already purchased my 3rd one (each lasted at least 6 months). It interferes little with ball control and still provides enough support to avoid re-injury. I like how snug this brace is, fitting the same soccer shoes I used without braces. This brace has never caused any abrasions when put over a sock. It takes a few minutes to lace it up snugly, but this is worth the time. This brace is suitable for a recently healed or soon-to-be-healed ankle, but may not protect the badly injured one (then you should not play anyway). Those who are not convinced that this is is an excellent soccer brace from just a few reviews on this site should also read reviews at soccer dot com website. As of the moment the rating there is 4.5 stars based on 21 reviews. Make sure it is correct size (when in doubt, go one size less). Here is a sizing chart: XXS: (Men's 4-5, Women's 5-6), XS: (Men's 6-7, Women's 7-8), S: (Men's 7-9, Women's 8-10), M: (Men's 9-11, Women's 10-12), L (Men's 11-13, Women's 12-14), XL (Men's 13-15, Women's 14-16). I also tried these two other braces, and found them not as good (more bulky and may cause abrasions): McDavid Ankle with Strap and Swede-O Ankle Lok Lace-Up Ankle Brace (with set of side stabilizer inserts).
