This clock is the worst piece of junk that I've ever purchased. I bought this for my son a few months ago and took it out of his room tonight and told him that he could use my alarm clock until I buy him a new one. This piece of junk has numerous issues: - the batteries do not work as back-up. If the clock gets unplugged, the batteries will not back up the electrical power - the clock will reset itself and force you to reenter the date, time, etc.. by simply just scooting the clock over to dust, etc. Evidently, the cord that plugs into the bottom of the clock is ultra-sensitive - it is very difficult to turn of the alarm when it goes off. Rather than switching the alarm to "off", you have to click about three specific buttons to shut the stupid thing off. And, this is supposed to be made for kids?? Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this thing. You'll end up wasting more money by buying a replacement a few months later.
